Black Ant Pills is a new product that featured herbal aphrodisiacs. According to the product description, it’s a erection dysfunciton pills that can cure male impotence and premature ejaculation. Apparently, the product is launched “after many succesful clinical trials”. So, does Black Ant Pills really work?
The thing is: you should take the claims with grains of salt. Black Ant Pills is marketed as dietary supplemnets, and it does not require approval and testing of FDA. Most of the time, the manufacturers can get away with making claims without sound proof. Specifically, the claims made by Black Ant Pills is not evaluated by the FDA. Supplement is not inteded to cure, diagnose, and treat any disease.
So what is Black Ant Pills?
The main ingredient of Black Ant Pills is called “Polyrhachis Vicina Roger”. It’s rich in amico acids, vitamins and trace minerals. Two Chinesestudies have been conducted to access its benefits on mices. However, there’s no western study to access its benefits on sexual functions.
Other ingredients of Black Ant Pills include: Formica Sanguinea, Ginseng, and Medlar. While these nutrients may help to improve sexual function, they are not quick fix nor magic solution.
The caveat: the salespage said that when consumed orally, Black Ant Pills “is aborbed through the lymphatic system, bypass the liver and thus does not affect the liver function”. However, no further explaination is given. Also, you will not be able to find any clinical report on this product.
On March 2011, the FDA has issued warning against Black Ant Pills. The FDA lab analysis found that the product contain excessive amount of an undeclared prescription drug called sildenafil. It can interact with prescription drugs that contain nitrates, and result in unsafe drop of blood pressure. Thus, consumers are advised to throw away Black Ant Pills immediately.
Side note: Shady sex enhancement pills can be life-threatening and even deadly! In 2008, 10 Singaporean men passed away due to the consumption of China-made illegal sex pills (Source). The pills were to contain high level of diabetes drugs, which lowered blood sugar level of the victims.
Despite the warning, I am not sure why FDA hasn’t recall Black Ant Pills. A word to the wise though..
Stay away from Black Ant Pills!
